Therapist Ethics
As sophrologist graduated from the BE ACADEMIE school of sophrology, Mérolie MBEYA has adhered to the code of ethics and deontology which is the common basis of the sophrologists members of the Chambre Syndicale de la Sophrologie.
It defines their commitments to the public, clients and profession. This code of ethics guarantees the professional ethics of sophrologists
Article 1
Sophrologists are committed to affirming the equality of people and respecting their originality and dignity.
Article 2
Sophrologists undertake to prohibit any religious or ideological propaganda or proselytism in their offices or places of intervention. They are committed to fighting against all the sectarian drifts that they would witness.
Article 3
Sophrologists are committed to respecting and protecting the physical and mental integrity of persons under their responsibility.
Article 4
Sophrologists are committed to respecting the confidentiality of information collected during their individual or group visits.
Article 5
Sophrologists are committed to respecting and enforcing the legislation in force.
Article 6
Sophrologists are committed to regularly update their knowledge and skills in order to meet the expectations of the public and developments in sophrology.
Article 7
Sophrologists are committed to disseminating clear and understandable offers to the public. These offers must define the accompanying modalities, the objectives and the limits of sophrology.
Article 8
Sophrologists undertake not to disseminate information that could mislead the public or the media or harm the image of the profession.
Article 9
Sophrologists undertake to use their right of rectification with the media in order to contribute to the seriousness of the information communicated to the public on sophrology.
Article 10
Sophrologists are committed to the general concepts and principles of sophrology. They also undertake not to denature or amalgamate sophrology with other techniques without their clients being aware of it.
Article 11
Sophrologists are committed to respecting the limits of their skills and to refer clients to another professional when they require treatment or therapeutic assistance that does not fall within their competence.
Article 12
Sophrologists undertake not to substitute themselves for health professionals, not to provide diagnosis, medical prescriptions and not to interfere with ongoing medical treatments.
Article 13
Sophrologists undertake to maintain their professional ethics when working under the authority of a company or organization.
Article 14
Sophrologists undertake, as far as possible, to offer a colleague to their clients when they are unable to provide their services.
Article 15
Sophrologists undertake to maintain fraternal relations of respect and courtesy, honesty and good faith with other sophrologists.
Article 16
Any sophrologist who does not comply with this code could be excluded from the Chambre Syndicale de Sophrologie
